Feeding
This feed is formulated especially as a protein, energy, mineral and vitamin supplement for sheep and goats on pasture or range forages. Feed as follow during periods of diminished forage quality. Always provide free-choice access to forage and water.
Flushing: Beginning 3 weeks before breeding season, feed at a daily rate of 0.75 to 1.0% bodyweight and continue feeding for a 6 week period.
Gestation: Feed at a daily rate of 0.75 to 1.0% of bodyweight the final 50-80 days of pregnancy. If flock has shown a tendency for pregnancy toxemia in the past, increase feeding level to 1.25 to 1.50% bodyweight per day the final 30 days of pregnancy.
Lactation: Feed at a daily rate of 1.25 to 1.5% of bodyweight the first 60 to 75 days of lactation.
